| G-CON effectively absorbs and spreads collision energy during a crash, reducing injury to both car occupants and pedestrians. |
Impact-absorbing front components (hood, hood hinges, front fenders, wipers, bumpers) reduce pedestrian injury in the event of an accident. |
Specially designed seat belts keep you strapped in whilst limiting excessive pressure on the chest. |

G-Force Control Technology
Honda's G-CON technology is developed to disperse and absorb impact energy, reducing injuries and significantly improving safety for everyone involved in a collision, be it the driver, passenger or the pedestrian.
Dual Airbag System
In a frontal impact of sufficient strength, the front airbags instantly inflate and deflate to help reduce injury to the driver and front passenger. *Note: Airbags function correctly only when seat belts are properly used.
3-Point ELR Seat Belts
3-point ELR seat belts with pretensioners and load limiters prevent you from surging forward whilst limiting excessive pressure on the chest.
Collision Compatibility Design
With a collision compatibility design, the vehicle's shock-adsorbent component won't jolt out of alignment with that of the other vehicle. Collision impact is also spread over as wide an area as possible for better impact absorption and greatly reduced stress on the cabin.
Comprehensive Crash Testing
The City was tested in full frontal collision with a barrier at 55km/h, frontal offset collisions at 64km/h, and side and rear-end collisions at 50km/h. The results showed that the car reduces injuries to occupants and preserves survival space.
ABS, EBD & BA
ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) helps prevent the wheels from locking in emergency braking situations and on slippery road surfaces. It increases vehicle stability, the EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) applies braking distribution control between front and rear wheels while the BA (Brake Assist) system generates full braking force with minimal braking pedal input.
