Safety is important to us and the Civic Hybrid went through relentless crash testing with vehicles of different sizes and weights at Honda’s Real World Crash Test Facility to ensure that it meets or exceeds the most stringent government safety regulations.

Active Safety

Total Airbag Control

The Honda Civic Hybrid provides Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) airbags and front side airbags to prevent head and torso injury. The frontal side airbags also feature an Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) that determines the height and position of occupants and adjusts the airbags accordingly.
Newly Improved G-Force Control

In the event of a collision, the newly improved G-Force Control (G-Con) will disperse and absorb impact energy at all cost.
Challenge The Road

On slippery roads, the Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) and the Electric Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) will respond quickly to varying road conditions to retain steering control during braking.
